But cooking the perfect homemade pizza is an impossible balance of skill and luck.

1. Using a Rolling Pin
When you roll out your pizza dough with a rolling pin, the air bubbles inside the dough become damaged. This will leave your dough tough, dense, and not as delicious as it could be.

2. Making the Crust Too Thin

4. Not Preparing Your Baking Sheet in Advance

You should always preheat your baking sheet before putting your pizza onto. This will give your pizza a nice, crispy crust.
If you forget to preheat your baking sheet, spread olive oil over the top. As the oil heats up in the over, it will help the bottom of your pizza fry.
5. Setting the Oven Temperature Too Low
Your oven temperature should never be below 400 degrees Fahrenheit when you’re cooking a pizza. In fact, they should be somewhere up between 450 degrees and 500 degrees Fahrenheit.

Cooking a pizza in an oven that isn’t hot enough makes the crust limp and burns the toppings. Don’t get nervous about the hot temperature. Keep it high.
